The Professor's Daughter by Sfar and Guibert - Found a copy in B&N and read through it. It's cute and the art is very pretty but the plot isn't terribly coherent and the various mummies are a little too visually similar. I wouldn't buy it or anything but it was entertaining and as I say, the art is lovely.

The Element of Fire by Martha Wells. - Honestly, I couldn't get through the second chapter. The prose is unclear, there were too many characters that I couldn't tell apart or remember the names of...I just didn't care for it. Probably more me than the book but it wasn't my thing.
